The opaque purple-hued 2006 Syrah Garys’ Vineyard reveals a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers, blackberries, forest floor, and subtle background oak. Fabulous purity, a seamless, opulent texture, and a full-bodied personality with terrific fruit purity and palate penetration result in a superb California Syrah to enjoy over the next 7-8 years. The Syrah from these two vineyards is generally harvested 30-40 days later than their Pinot Noir, which demonstrates the fascinating micro-climate this sector of the Santa Lucia Highlands enjoys. These are two outstanding Syrahs from one of the younger members of the Pisoni family.
