Tasted from barrel, the 2017 Estate Cuvee was difficult to read. Revealing rich aromas of currants and pencil shavings, it seems to be digesting its new oak effectively. On the palate, however, while it displays good freshness, it's currently dominated by grape and oak tannin, which clamp down, rendering it inscrutable. Let's see how it develops.
