Tasting note: A ripe and attractively spicy nose features notes of both red and dark fruit, and in particular black cherry and raspberry, along with hints of violet and plum. As one would reasonably expect, there is better volume to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a suave and seductive mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the muscular and punchy if slightly warm and tangy finale. I like the budding complexity and sneaky good length though the balance isn't quite what it should be. Still, this shows enough potential that it will likely age out well.
