Wine Review: This opaque dark purple colored fruit bomb opens with a mild oak bouquet with a hint of black cherry and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a fruit forward ripe and extracted blueberry and boysenberry blend. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors carry through and linger nicely. Aussie Shiraz fans would love this big Cab. Enjoy it fireside with some sharp cheddar cheese from Tillamook. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Hugh and Kathy Shiels planted DuBrul Vineyard and meticulously maintain their hilltop vines in the Yakima Valley of Washington. The depth of flavor and concentration are unlike any that we have come across in West Coast vineyards due to the mineral laden soils, long cool growing conditions, and minuscule yields. 2008 was a vintage with warmer temperatures, resulting in excellent depth of flavor and richness.
