Since vintage 2008, all Joseph Drouhin's Chablis wines are label under 'Drouhin-Vaudon', reference to their historical estate Domaine Vaudon.
Critic tasting note: (2020 vintage) "Drouhin has been around since the 1880s, with the current generation's great grandfather starting the business as a negociant. In the early 20th century the family started as winemakers, purchasing and planting their first vineyards in the early 1960s. This wine comes from the centre part of GC Vaudésir, shaped like an amphitheatre, with its steep south facing slopes absorbing the afternoon sun. Biodynamically farmed vines were slowly fermented and aged in older oak barrel for 1 year. Still just a baby, but showing beautifully now, with smouldering smoked stone scenting the meyer lemon, green apple, and subtle tight white blossoms that rule the structural palate. The finish lingers with crushed rock and oyster liqueur. A GC that drinks now, but will certainly cellar over the next decade. (Treve Ring)." - 93/100, Gismondi on Wine
