Showing more black fruits, with hints of currants, black cherries, crushed stone and a touch of herb, the 2011 Pinot Noir Garys’ Vineyard has a slight Burgundian feel in its texture and acid profile. Nevertheless, there’s a core of sweet fruit that’s all California. Enjoy this balanced, richly textured effort over the coming 7-8 years. Drink now-2021. (JD)
