Wines of this caliber do not come around often—the 2012 Groth Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon stands tall on the global stage. The wine exhibits abundant black fruits, with hints of earth, dust and mineral. There is so much happening here to keep the palate excited. Just starting to drink well. This is very classy with mineral, black currant and spice character. Shows chili and Thai basil too. Full body, firm tannins and a bright and persistent finish. Extremely long and elegant. Best ever from here in years?
