A rather unusual blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2013 Proprietary Red is redolent of violets, red and black cherries and baking spices with suggestions of pencil shavings. The palate is elegant, fresh, rounded and soft with plenty of spicy layers and a long, perfumed finish. 421 cases were made.
