Quintessa takes all of the same care, passion and attention to detail that goes into their flagship red, and they put that same energy into their Sauvignon Blanc too. The result is Illumination, which is always bright and full of energy, with a striking, vivid bouquet that irradiates exotic passionfruit, white peach, orange blossom and zesty tangerine. It’s brought to life by Rebekah Wineburg who honed her skills at Rudd and Buccella before becoming winemaker at Quintessa. She then teamed up with consulting winemaker Michel Rolland, one of the most influential winemakers in the world to produce this truly top-level domestic Sauvignon Blanc.
Created from select sites in Southern Napa Valley and Sonoma County as well as the winery’s Estate vineyard in Rutherford, the grapes were gently crushed on the winery roof and make their way to the fermentation room below, utilizing a gravity-flow method. Shining bright the moment the wine enters the glass, and following through with focused peach blossom, fresh thyme, lemon sorbet and fresh guava, this wine guaranteed to brighten any occasion.
